- For the Meat Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium carrot, diced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- For the Potato Topping:
- 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2.Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
3.Add onion, garlic, and carrot to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in tomato paste, smoked paprika, and flour, and cook for 1 minute.
4.Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until the mixture thickens slightly. Add peas and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the filling to the prepared baking dish.
5.Toss the sliced potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Layer the potatoes over the meat filling, slightly overlapping.
6.Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
7.Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
