Honey Garlic Chicken

Honey Garlic Chicken Stir Fry
“Succulent chicken bites glazed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, paired with tender broccoli and served over fluffy white rice.”

Ingredients:

  • For the Chicken Stir Fry:
    • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 2 cups broccoli florets
    • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    • 1/3 cup soy sauce
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
    • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • For Serving:
    • Cooked white rice
    • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
    • Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Directions:
1.Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until golden brown on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2.In the same skillet, add broccoli and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
3.In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
4.Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
5.Return the chicken and vegetables to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
6.Serve the stir fry over cooked white rice. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
