Chocolate Crepe Cake
Layers upon layers of delicate chocolate crepes with luscious chocolate cream in between, topped with a dusting of cocoa powder. A decadent dessert to impress!
✔ Ingredients
• 1 1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
• 1/4 cup (30 g) cocoa powder
• 1/3 cup (65 g) granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) heavy cream
• 2 tbsp powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup (30 g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
• Cocoa powder (for dusting)
✔ Directions
1.Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
2.In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
3.Chill the crepe batter for 30 minutes.
4.Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease. Pour in a small amount of batter, swirling to coat the pan evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side. Repeat until all batter is used.
5.Beat heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form, then fold in melted chocolate to make the chocolate cream filling.
6.Layer crepes on a serving plate, spreading a thin layer of chocolate cream between each crepe.
7.Refrigerate the assembled cake for at least 2 hours to set.
8.Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.
